Nourishing Skin Mask
To make a moisturizing anti-aging mask, combine 2 cups of canned pumpkin, 4 tablespoons of honey, 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of grapeseed oil in a blender. Smooth the paste over your skin and then rinse with warm water after 10 minutes. You can substitute strawberries, blueberries, cranberries or pomegranate seeds for the pumpkin, if desired. All of these contain anti-aging compounds, including antioxidants and vitamins A and C. Grapeseed oil works to promote the repair of skin cells.
Take Care of Your Body
Exercise maintains good circulation and blood flow to your skin, so aim for at least one 30-minute workout per day. Get at least eight hours of sleep at night so your body has time to repair damage and refresh skin. Skip processed foods, which can wreak havoc on your health. Instead, opt for a nutrient-rich diet of vegetables, fruits, lean meats and whole grains. Drink green tea -- it contains compounds called flavonoids that have antioxidant effects in the body. After you've brewed a pot, press the used tea bags against your skin for 10 minutes. The tannins in tea help reduce puffiness, under-eye circles and inflammation.
